Manufacturing Transparency

From Steel Tube to Turn-Key: 13 Stages Every Bike Passes

We build the frame in-house and open the whole line to you. Here is the exact route your FR08DEB travels, from specification sign-off to the final quality gate before packing.

A

Specify & Engineer

Stages 1-2
01

Product Specification & Project Confirmation

Every project begins with product specification and market requirement confirmation. Before production, we confirm key details including vehicle model, motor and battery specification, color, configuration, packaging, labels, certification requirements and target sales channel. We also consider whether the products will be distributed through traditional B2B channels or online retail channels, as different sales models may require different packaging and labeling solutions.

02

Engineering & OEM/ODM Development

Our in-house engineering team supports both standard products and OEM/ODM development. Subject to project volume, MOQ and agreed tooling requirements, customization can include frame structure, colors, graphics, seats, lighting, motor and battery configuration, controller and charging options and other product-specific components. For certain plastic and metal parts, dedicated tooling can also be developed according to project requirements.

B

Fabricate the Frame

Stages 3-7
03

Component Sourcing & Incoming Quality Control

Frame-related steel components are manufactured in-house, while most other vehicle components are sourced or customized from qualified suppliers according to product specifications. Incoming components undergo visual and condition inspections before assembly. Functional performance is further verified during vehicle assembly and vehicle testing. Typical categories include the neodymium magnet motor, controller, 36V9Ah Li-ion battery and charger, suspension components, wheels and tires, brake systems, steering components and fasteners.

04

Frame Fabrication

Dirt bike frame components are processed in-house through multiple fabrication operations. Typical processes include: Tube Cutting ?Tube Bending ?Punching ?Laser Cutting ?Fixture Preparation. Controlling these processes internally helps maintain frame dimensions, mounting positions and production consistency before welding.

05

Frame Welding

Frame welding combines manual welding and robotic welding according to the structural requirements of different components. Dedicated welding jigs are used to position frame components during production and help maintain dimensional consistency. The combination of manual and robotic welding allows different structural areas to use the most appropriate manufacturing process.

06

Frame Inspection

After welding, the frame goes through structural and dimensional inspection before surface finishing. Inspection points include frame dimensions, weld condition, left/right symmetry, mounting positions, installation holes and overall alignment. Dedicated inspection fixtures are used where required to verify critical dimensions and mounting locations.

07

Surface Preparation & Powder Coating

After frame inspection, welded structures undergo surface preparation before powder coating. The process is designed to prepare the metal surface for coating and improve finish consistency. Typical process: Surface Preparation ?Powder Coating ?Curing ?Finish Inspection.

C

Assemble the Bike

Stages 8-10
08

Sub-Assembly

Before final vehicle assembly, major vehicle systems are prepared through dedicated sub-assembly processes. Typical sub-assemblies include the hydraulic front forks, rear swingarm and mono-shock, front and rear disc brakes, and the motor, controller and wiring harness. These modules are then prepared for integration into the main vehicle assembly.

09

Main Vehicle Assembly

The frame, front forks and rear mono-shock, chain drivetrain, disc braking, handlebar and controls, seat, and the motor, battery and electrical systems are integrated during the main assembly stage. Because different dirt bike platforms have different structures and configurations, the exact assembly sequence may vary by model. Assembly operations follow defined production requirements for each vehicle platform.

10

Critical Fastener Torque Control

Critical vehicle fasteners are tightened according to specified torque requirements. Depending on the assembly station and component, operators use torque wrenches and electric torque tools. Typical controlled areas include handlebar and clamp components, suspension mounting points, brake components, wheel fasteners, motor mounting points and rear axle components.

D

Inspect, Test & Release

Stages 11-13
11

Safety & Functional Inspection

After assembly, major safety-related and functional systems are inspected before vehicle testing. Brake inspection covers the front and rear disc brakes, brake travel, braking force and pad condition. Steering and suspension inspection covers handlebar play, front wheel alignment, the hydraulic front forks and rear mono-shock damping, and tire pressure. Motor and drive inspection covers power delivery, throttle response, acceleration, the selectable 10 / 16 / 25 km/h speed modes and abnormal noise. Electrical checks cover the 36V9Ah Li-ion battery, charger and charge port, controller wiring and the power cut-off function.

12

100% Vehicle Running Test

Every completed dirt bike undergoes a vehicle running test before final inspection. The test verifies key operating functions including motor response and acceleration toward the ≥25km/h top speed, braking, steering, the selectable speed modes, abnormal noise and general vehicle operation. Dynamic testing also provides an additional opportunity to verify component performance under actual operating conditions.

13

Final Inspection

After the running test, every vehicle goes through a final inspection before packing. A defined inspection checklist is used to confirm the vehicle condition, electrical safety and key functions before release for shipment. This acts as the final manufacturing quality gate before packaging.
